Minimum Specs?

I know its obviously impossible to know, but what do yous reckon the minimum kinda specs would be for BF3? something along the lines of BC2?
Im planning on getting a new rig, but not as flush as I used to be!

They will be VERY similar to BC2 since they use the same engine. If it's for consoles I could see it being the same. If it's PC only, it may be a little bit higher.

I remember when BF2 came out... 90% of computers on the market could not run it on FULL... I am sure they will OUT-DO them self again and make everyone upgrade

Even if the requirements are crazy, and you only have access to a menial amount of cash you can build a decent quad core system for a very decent price.  As we get closer to the launch just start doing some research on what you will need. 

Get prepared guys... it'll be here before you know it.

um...xbox 360 only costs like 300 dollars now, so get one and you won't have to worry about that

BF3 is not using the same engine as BC2.  BC2 uses a variation of Frostbite 1 that was tailored for consoles... whereas BF3 will be Frostbite 2 or a variation of it.  At any rate, Frostbite 2 is meant to use the full range of DX11... and not some watered down console version either.  We'll obviously find out more info on system requirements as we get closer to launch.  All that being said, if BF3 came out tomorrow the XBOX would be using a "slightly lesser" version of Frostbite 2 as it is aimed at DX11 (PC), but backwards compatible with DX10 (XBOX).

All system requirements aside, I really hope they do what they did for BF2.  Make the true version of the game for PC and give the little kiddies on console a less concentrated dose of the game.  If DICE follows the model they did for BF2, BF3 will do exactly what we've been told in the limited PR its received... "IT WILL BLOW PEOPLE AWAY!"

What I'm really trying to say is this. TO HELL WITH XBOX!! Get that shit outta here!

 

Now.. getting back on track.

You'll probably want to run the following (obvious speculation here)

-Quad-Core system (i7 for you intel fans)
-DX11 GPU
-Windows 7  (remember.. Frostbite 2 does not work with XP)
-3 or 4 GBs of RAM

have you ever seen anygame that is on both console an PC at max setting on the PC...it looks 10x better. Everything is smoother, no input lag, texture and colors pop better. There is such a huge improvement it is rediculous.

Consoles are great and can produce amazing graphics, but the PC improves on those by leaps and bounds.

PCs are sexy and I wish I had the money for a good one cause that is where the real hardcore gamers are at....sick and tired of this new age casual noob friendly gamer

If you truly think that an Xbox (or a PS3 for that matter) can come even remotely close to a stacked up PC rig then you need to do some research.  You honestly have the audacity to think and say that a $400 dollar console (w/e on the price.. i could honestly give a shit)  can compete with a rig upwards of $5000 that is built personally by hardcore hardware techies and gamers.  These are people who live for computer hardware, people who buy the absolute best of the best, people who spend days on tweaking settings and clock speeds, people who know their PC inside and out down to the bone.
